How we set it up

The work that comes with it

Network readiness assessment

We measure the link before we sell you anything: jitter, packet loss, MTU, DSCP survival and upstream headroom, per site. You get the report whether or not you buy.

Legacy PBX migration

Avaya, Mitel, 3CX, Cisco, or something nobody has supported since 2011. We map what it currently does before we change what it does.

Monitoring & call quality

Every call scored for MOS. If quality degrades we usually open the ticket before you notice, with the packet capture attached.

Questions about SIP trunking

Will call quality be worse than my old lines?

On a link with headroom and QoS, it's better: G.722 and Opus carry roughly twice the audio bandwidth of a traditional line, so voices sound closer. On a saturated link without prioritisation it will be worse. That's exactly why we measure first.

What happens when the power or internet goes down?

Calls fail over automatically to a destination you set — usually mobiles or another site — so inbound calls still land. Set it up once during install and it sits there until you need it. For short power cuts, a small UPS on your router and network switch keeps desk phones working.

Do I keep my phone numbers?

Yes. They're yours, not ours. We port them in, and if you ever leave we port them out — no exit fee for the port itself and no holding them hostage while a notice period runs.

Do you support emergency calling?

Yes — 119 for police and 110 for fire and ambulance, with a registered service address per handset. Keep those addresses current when people move desks or sites — we'll prompt you, but it's a shared responsibility and worth understanding before you sign. Internet calling needs power and a working connection, so during an outage use a mobile for emergencies.
