What a business phone system actually costs in Jamaica

Almost nobody in this market publishes a price. Here is ours, and how to read anyone else's.

Why this page is unusual

If you have tried to price a business phone system in Jamaica, you already know the pattern: a product page with a feature list, no numbers, and a "request a callback" button. Both major carriers work that way for business products. It is not sinister — quoting is genuinely easier when every site is different — but it makes comparing anything painful, and it puts the buyer at a disadvantage in a conversation they did not ask for.

So here are our numbers.

Per user, per month

  • Essential — J$3,500 per user per month. Hosted PBX seat: one number, desk phone, softphone and

mobile app, auto attendant, voicemail-to-email. 3-user minimum.

  • Professional — J$4,900 per user per month. Everything above, plus Teams Direct Routing, call

recording with a searchable archive, CRM integration and 24/7 support.

  • Enterprise — quoted after a readiness assessment, because multi-site and contact-centre builds genuinely differ.

Add-ons, if you are on Essential and want one thing rather than the tier: Teams Direct Routing J$1,200, call recording J$900, both per user per month. A contact-centre agent is J$3,900 per agent on top of Professional.

Keeping your own PBX? SIP channels are J$1,950 per channel per month, or J$2.75 per minute metered. Extra Jamaican numbers are J$750 each per month.

All prices exclude GCT. Telephone services in Jamaica are taxed differently from most goods, so ask any provider — including us — to show you the tax line before you sign anything.

Price ladder: Essential, then Essential plus the Teams add-on, then Professional which already includes Teams, recording, CRM and 24/7 support, then Essential plus both add-ons which costs more than Professional.

How to read a quote that has no price on it

Four questions that turn a feature list back into a number:

  1. Is that per user or per system? A headline price that looks cheap is sometimes a bundle covering a fixed

number of extensions and channels. Ask what the tenth user costs, then the twentieth.

  1. What is the minimum term, and what happens after it? An attractive monthly rate on a three-year term is a

different product from the same rate month to month.

  1. Are the numbers mine? If you leave, can you port out, and is there a fee? Numbers you cannot take are a cost

you only discover at the worst moment.

  1. What is included when it breaks? Support hours, response times, and whether the first person who answers can

actually change anything.

What we will not do

We will not quote you a per-seat price and then discover the install needs equipment nobody mentioned. Every site gets a network readiness assessment first, you get the report either way, and if your connection cannot carry calls we will say so before you have spent anything.
