Use it lawfully
Don't use our services for anything unlawful in Jamaica or where the call is received, including fraud, harassment, threats, or offences under the Cybercrimes Act, the Telecommunications Act or the Data Protection Act.
Calls and messages
- Caller ID: only present numbers you own or are authorised to use. Never disguise who is calling to mislead or defraud.
- Marketing calls: no automated, pre-recorded or mass unsolicited calls or messages without the consent the law requires. Honour requests to stop calling.
- Artificial traffic: no traffic pumping, SIM boxing, or calls generated to inflate minutes or revenue.
- Call recording: if you record calls, you're responsible for telling callers and having a lawful reason to record.
Unlimited and bundled calling
Unlimited calling is for normal business use by the named users on your account. Fair use limits: e.g. no continuous call forwarding, call centre dialling on Essential, or sharing one user across many people. Set the thresholds.
Keep your account secure
Protect your portal logins, SIP credentials and handsets, change default passwords, and tell us straight away if you suspect misuse. Fraudsters who get these details can run up large bills calling premium and overseas numbers. Who pays for fraudulent calls made with your credentials, and any spending limits we apply
Emergency calls
Keep the service address for each handset up to date so 119 and 110 calls reach the right place. Internet calling needs power and a working connection: during an outage, use a mobile for emergencies.
The network and other customers
Don't try to gain unauthorised access to our systems, probe or attack them, or use the service in a way that degrades it for others. Don't resell the service unless you have a partner agreement with us.
If this policy is broken
We may block calls, suspend a number or account, or end the service, and where required report the matter to the authorities. Notice we give before suspension, except for fraud or harm to the network
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we give this much notice of a change that affects you — confirm.
If calls or messages from one of our numbers are abusive or fraudulent, email [email protected] with the number, date and time.
