The part everyone finds out about too late
Support is the product, once the phones are in. This is how ours works, in enough detail to compare it against somebody else's.
The part everyone finds out about too late
Median time to a human on the support line, published monthly.
First line is technical. No script, no tier-one triage reading your ticket back to you.
With service credits that apply automatically, not on request.

Questions we get asked first
Do I keep my phone numbers?
Yes. They're yours, not ours. We port them in, and if you ever leave we port them out — no exit fee for the port itself and no holding them hostage while a notice period runs.
What happens when the power or internet goes down?
Calls fail over automatically to a destination you set — usually mobiles or another site — so inbound calls still land. Set it up once during install and it sits there until you need it. For short power cuts, a small UPS on your router and network switch keeps desk phones working.
Will call quality be worse than my old lines?
On a link with headroom and QoS, it's better: G.722 and Opus carry roughly twice the audio bandwidth of a traditional line, so voices sound closer. On a saturated link without prioritisation it will be worse. That's exactly why we measure first.
Can I keep my existing handsets?
Usually. Most SIP handsets from the last decade will re-provision onto our platform — Yealink, Polycom, Cisco, Snom, Grandstream. Send us the model numbers and we'll tell you straight whether they're worth keeping.
What's the contract?
12 months initially, then month to month. 30 days' notice. We'd rather you stayed because leaving is easy and you don't want to.
Do you support emergency calling?
Yes — 119 for police and 110 for fire and ambulance, with a registered service address per handset. Keep those addresses current when people move desks or sites — we'll prompt you, but it's a shared responsibility and worth understanding before you sign. Internet calling needs power and a working connection, so during an outage use a mobile for emergencies.
Is this the same as a PBX or a PABX?
Same job, different place. A PBX — or PABX, the older name for it — is the exchange that connects your extensions to each other and to the outside line. Traditionally it was a box in a cupboard. A hosted PBX, also called a cloud PBX or IP PBX, is that same exchange run as a service on our platform, reached over your internet connection. Nothing changes about what it does; what changes is who maintains it, and that you stop buying hardware every few years.
What is VoIP, and is it the same as UCaaS?
VoIP — voice over IP, sometimes written voice over internet — means the call travels as data over an internet connection instead of a dedicated phone line, using SIP (session initiation protocol) to set the calls up and an IP phone, softphone or mobile app to make them. UCaaS, unified communications as a service, is the broader bundle: the calling plus messaging, presence, video and conferencing in one place. We sell business telephony first and integrate with the collaboration tools you already run, rather than asking you to move your whole company onto ours.
Do you do call centres as well as contact centres?
Yes, and the distinction is worth knowing if you are comparing quotes. A call centre — call center, if you are writing for a US parent — handles voice. A contact centre — spelled contact center by most of the American clients Jamaican BPOs work for — handles voice plus the other channels, with queues, skills-based routing, wallboards and supervisor monitoring. Our contact centre product covers both; you pay per agent for the seats that need it.
